About
Christine “Crissy” Venezia, Esq. (formerly Christine Schafer), focuses her practice on probate administration, estate planning, and elder law. She is dedicated to guiding Florida families through some of life’s most challenging transitions with clarity, compassion, and practical legal solutions. Crissy regularly assists clients with formal and summary probate administrations, trust administration, and the creation of comprehensive estate plans, including revocable living trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, health care advance directives, and living wills.
Crissy’s commitment to this area of law began long before she became an attorney. While attending the University of Florida—where she initially planned to become a veterinarian—she lost her father unexpectedly. Because he had remarried and unintentionally left his children disinherited, Crissy experienced firsthand how fragile a legacy can be, and how easily families can face conflict, confusion, and financial consequences without proper planning. This personal experience fueled her decision to change career paths and devote her life’s work to helping others avoid the hardships her family endured.
After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, Crissy earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University College of Law. She graduated in 2013 and immediately began building a practice centered on practical guidance, thoughtful planning, and compassionate advocacy for families across South Florida.
Over the course of her career, Crissy has been widely recognized for her professionalism, skill, and client-focused approach. She has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2018–2024, earned repeated distinction from Three Best Rated for estate planning and probate for four consecutive years, and was named a Top Probate Lawyer in Boca Raton by Boca Raton Observer. These honors reflect her reputation for excellence and the trust she has earned from both clients and the legal community.
Crissy takes pride in educating and empowering families, simplifying complex legal matters, and ensuring that every client feels supported and protected. Today, she dedicates her practice to helping individuals and families preserve their legacies, navigate probate with ease, and plan for the future with confidence.
